Hi Mr Siew
My company provides services to various establishments on contract basis. As such, employees who work in these establishments are employed as Fixed Term Contract staff. Once our contract with these establishments ends, the employees are let go. Can we still subject the employees a probationary period?

It is up to those establishments to decide whether the employees should be required to go through a period of probation or not.

Mr Siew, thank you for your response. My company provides the services including the staffing. As such, the establishments are not involve in the employment matters. Can I presume that there is no written rules on this matter? It is up to us whether to implement it or not?

If they are your employees, it is of course up to you and if you think you have confidence in them and need not test them out.
