Hi, we have a 6 months contract staff that just join us on the 1st Aug 16. he was designated 6 days of annual leave throughout his contract. But he has taken 4 days already. Should the 3 days counted as unpaid or he is allowed to use his leaves that is allocated for the whole of his contract?

If that is a 6 month fixed terms contract, I think 6 days annual is OK. Any excess should be no pay. Under the Employment Act, employees must complete 12 months service to qualify 8 days annual leave per year.
