Hi,您好。
我公司一直代理的牌子产品在四月开始就没代理了,因为我公司是大马的总代理,公司以这理由要裁员,和员工说由于我们公司再也不是这牌子的总代理所以profits也将少很多,不需要那么多员工了,将会裁员。而我进这公司时是在子公司做门市的,做7年了,过后就被调去母公司当admin 1年,那么公司裁我的话是怎么赔偿呢?年资会怎么算呢?在 appointment letter 里没有lay off 和retrenchment的字眼,只有termination 的字眼,在大马劳工法令的条例赔偿算法有影响吗?

Laid off workers are entitled to claim termination benefit as in the Employment (Termination and Layoff Benefits)Regulations You can complain to the Labour Department is you are retrenched.

那么意思是说公司必需以我在公司8年的年资来计算吗?那么薪水2000以上的是不是没有以Employment (Termination and Layoff Benefits )Regulations 来算了?

Then there may be problem to get compensation under the Regulations. In that case, you may have to bring the matter up with the Industrial Relations Department about the retrenchment. You must go there within 60 days from date of termination of service.
