Re: Resign during confirmation process

Hi, I'm employed on 15 January 2015, I shall have 6 months probation period upon mine confirmation. However, I had been notify verbally I will be confirmed starting 1 July 2015. However , I do receive the letter of confirmation until today ( 8 July 2015) . I had tender mine resignation letter on 3 July 2015 . Therefore, am I confirm on not? Is it legally blind for the verbally notification ? Or the letter of confirmation have to come in ? I do no have any changes in benefits or salary upon confirmation.

I had a short notice of 1 month for probation and 2 months for upon confirmation.

Appreciated helps and feedbacks.

Regards,
Chwa

I think you are still not confirmed and will have to serve one month notice for resignation.

Hi Siew ,

Thanks for the reply , I agreed with your point too but the HR insists that they had gone through the process of confirmation and verbally informed I will be confirm . As per them , the letter of confirmation is just a document wise process .

It is anywhere I I can refer to for this issue? Is kindly unfair for me .

You can try to get another opinion from the Labour Department. Official ruling will be much better.
