Re: Annual Leave Prorate

I am entitle to have 24 days annual leave a year.
I'm planning to take 10 days leave from 1 March.
HR said I can only take 6 days only (pro rate leave: 2 days per month), extra 4 days I need to take unpaid leave.
Is it normall? I've already working here as confirmed staff for more than 3 years.

It looks like your HR doesn't want to give advance leave. Anyway, the 6 days were prorated from which month to which month?

The 6 days were prorated from.Jan to March...is it legal for my HR not giving me advance leave?

The company is not obliged to provide advance leave.

If I insist to take 10days, HR will cut 6 days from my annual leave & and I am forced to take 4 days unpaid leave? Sound not right because I still has 14 days if I take 10 days annual leave.
The only reason I think HR not allowed advance is because they might think I want to resign?

Well, you can insist but I don't know what your HR will do.
