Re: Inquiry on annual leave
I am a contract employee and have been stopped working on 26th Aug 2014 with previous company. By that time, I was told that my remaining annual leave (7 days) is payable hence I continue working until 26th Aug after discussed with my team leader (without black and white). Today, I found that my salary is lesser than the amount I should receive and HR told me that the annual leave should be spent before contract end. It is written in my contract.
My question is, am I able to fight for my annual leave as I am mislead by the team leader. I would like to finish my remaining annual leave before my contract end but is encouraged by the management to continue working due to insufficient manpower. Additionally, I am very unhappy because they keep saying that the term of annual leave is already stated in my contract and do not want to bear any responsibility on this issue.
