Dear Mr.Siew

I tendered resignation on 4/7/14 for 3 mths notice but the G.Manager extended my resignation without the date of my last last working day. He only put like this - your last working day shall be subjected to an jointly agreed extended handover-time between you and the undersigned. He ask me to worked until 4/9/14 but I can't stay until that day. Is there nay problem if I just left the company by 4/8/14. Until now they cannot find the candidate to replace me.

I want to know normally how long the extend period take place?

Since as you said you resigned on 4/7/14 with 3 months notice, isn't it your last day should be 3/10/14? If you intend to leave on 4/8/14, you should pay 2 months salary to the company as indemnity for the two months short notice. Anyway, try to discuss with your GM to find a solution agreeable to both so that you can leave with goodwill and good feeling.

You resigned on 7/4/14 then your last day should be 6/7/14, why 4/8/14 or September?
