Re: Short Notice of Resignation

Dear Sirs,

My company payroll is 26 days, if the employee tendered his resignation notice with 24 hours notice & his last working day is 10/Jan.

1) How to calculate his short notice? base on 26 days or calendar day?
2) Shall the short notice offsetting the working day from 1/Jan - 10/Jan?

1. Use calendar day.
2. Yes you may do that.

Calculation of Compensation:

Example:
The staff official last day is 6/Jun/13 but she wanted to leave on 15/May, her earning salary is RM5000+RM1000 (fixed allowance) per mth.

How to calculate her salary & short notice?

1) Salary (1/5 to 14/5) is based on 26 days or calendar day
2) Short Notice (15/5 to 6/Jun) is based on calender or 26 days
