My question is how to calculate his pay. His pay RM1500 per month and working hours are 8-4 M-F 8-12 Sat. The employee feels he should get paid for an entire day of work on Saturday even though he only works 4 hours (when he shows up). He also believes he should be paid for work during his lunch hour. Is this correct? We calculate his wages based on RM1500 per month = 18,000 per year/39 working hours per week *52 weeks per year = 2028 hours per year/ 18000/2028=8.87 per hour. So when he is absent without leave or approval we deduct those hours. is this the correct way to calculate? Edit | Delete

KL Siew klsiew.my@gmail.com 28/05/2014 09:34:13 It looks like simple things made very difficult and complex. Go to the Labour Department and learn the proper things to do from one of the officers there Edit | Delete
