We have an employee who is consistently late or takes longer than the one hour for lunch or who leaves early all without approval. My question is how to calculate his pay. His pay RM1500 per month and working hours are 8-4 M-F 8-12 Sat.
The employee feels he should get paid for an entire day of work on Saturday even though he only works 4 hours (when he shows up). He also believes he should be paid for work during his lunch hour. Is this correct?
We calculate his wages based on RM1500 per month = 18,000 per year/39 working hours per week *52 weeks per year = 2028 hours per year/ 18000/2028=8.87 per hour. So when he is absent without leave or approval we deduct those hours. is this the correct way to calculate?
