Re: Resignation Notice by Calendar Month

Hi, can i ask if employer is allowed to restrict staff's resignation notice to calendar month? meaning, staff can only tender resignation on 1st of the month. even if they tender say...20th, the notice period will only start from 1st of the subsequent month. i think this is absurd but my boss wants to implement this...is this legal because i can't find anything under the employment act that mention this.

I don't think that method is correct. The date should be the date on which the resignation is tendered. You can refer to the Employment Act about Notice Period.
