Re: Termination due to contract end

Company contract with government end. 1 contract staff (contract end in Dec), few confirmed staff. All not under EA. Company policy says one month notice from either party upon termination. Can company terminate the staff by giving one month notice without need to pay any form of compensation?

Please advise.

If there is a clause in the contract stating that contract can be terminated with one month notice, the company may do so. However, that does not mean the employees cannot bring the matter up with Industrial Relations Department. You can go to the Industrial Relations Department and discuss the issue with the officer there and get some official opinion.
