We have a supervisor with us for more than 10 years, and he has attained the age of 60 years this coming August. He requested for a job with less pay so that he still can continue to have income for daily life since he is still fit to work. We are considering his proposal. Could you please advise can we re-hire him immediately after his retirement? Or there is a cooling period for that? Is it OK if we offer him a job with new status with salary which is much lower than he is getting now? Thanking you in advance for your advice.
