Re: termination benefits for employee - how to calculate true wages

My boss is closing down his business of more than 20 years and had agreed to pay me termination benefits to me. I've been employed by him for more than 17 years. It is stated that I'll be entitled to 20 days wages for every completed year of employment. Does the true wages calculation takes into account, meal allowances and also overtime charges. Please advise thank you.

Ya, it is talking about true day's wages. I think everything should be included. Add up the earnings of the past 12 months, divide it with 365 to get the day's wages. If still in doubt, consult the Labour Department.
