Re: deduct annual leave

My employer forced us to work on public holidays, but the company paid triple on working in public holidays. That's not a problem. Our problem is, if we refused to work on public holidays, the company will deduct our annual leave. What should we do?

Employers can require employees to work on public holidays. To me, refusing to work as required is insubordination. You are in fact getting away with it lightly when they are willing to deduct your annual leave for it. You can consult the Labour Office see what they will say about it..
