Dear Sir
I would like to check with you if the company can deduct my salary for taking emergency leave
1) 1 day salary for Emergency Leave with valid documents (eg. Death certificate, time slip from the doctor and etcs).

2) 2 days salary for Emergency Leave without any supporting documents,

The company issue a memo and ask me to sign.
Appreciate a quick response.

To me, emergency leave is very disruptive especially when it comes to production. Emergency leave should be strictly regulated and discouraged. What your company is doing may be one way of trying to discourage the so-called emergency leave. That memo still valid whether you sign it or not. The staff can avoid that penalty by not absenting themselves without approval.

Is the deduction of more than 1-day salary applicable to all employees regardless of their monthly salary ?( eg. earning less than 1500/mth)
