I am malaysia attached with an insurance company in malaysia for one year contract employement. They said i am not entitled for maternity leave. Is this legal?

If your salary is over RM1500 and not covered by the Employment Act, the condition of your not entitling to maternity leave with pay may be valid. Negotiate properly before you sign the contract.
Yes my salary is over RM1500 & I am now on my 4th months of employment, i think its too late to negotiate. Its there a way i can claim this maternity benefit from my employer? This benefit does not state in the letter of offer.
I really don't know how and where you can make a claim for it.
