Re: Short notice in lieu calculation

Mr Siew,

An employee resigned today, the management decided to treat his last day with effect today 21/8/2010 by compensate in lieu of 1 week as per contract of service.

I understand that the calculation of short notice by employee is as follows:

7 31 days x Basic Pay

What about employer pay this compensation, is the formula the same?
Thank you!

To Jean
Since you said they terminated your service because you were slow in your work, I think you better complain to the Labour Office.
