Re: Working on Sunday

Hi Mr Siew,

If an employee worked on Sunday, from 8am to 4pm (including 1 hour break time). OT should compute as 8hours or 7 hours (minus 1 hour break time).

There is no OT here as the working hours did not exceed 8 hours.

Hi Mr Siew,

I mean, we need to pay the employee 7 hours or 8 hours?

Thank you!

You have to pay one day salary at (salary/26)

Hi Mr Siew,

Sorry need to come back to you on this. His normal working hours is 8:00am to 5:00pm. Sunday, he only worked 8:00am to 4pm (12:30noon to 1:30pm lunch break). Do we still need to pay him a day wages?

Thank you in advance for your kind advise!

Dear Jess.

Formula for wage on Off Days/Rest Days

Sunday if 8 hours = Basic/26/8 X 1.0 x 8 hrs (need to pay one day even if its less than 8 hours)
Sunday if 9 hours = First 8 hours as above and balance 1 hour as below
Basic /26/8 X 2.0 x 1 hour

Hope i got it right. :]
