Re: Hospitalisation & Medical leave

i have a staff, admitted to hospital for 1 night due to miscarriage.....then doctor gave her MC for 2 weeks (rest at home)
Question: this consider hospitallisation or medical leave?
How can we defind it as hospitalise?
Please advise.

It is sick leave and not hospitalisation. Hospitalisation means you are admitted and stay in hospital.

Noted..for this case, her hospitalisation will be only 1 day, right?
P/s: a letter from hospital mentioned she was admited 1 day and discharge the next day...

Mr Siew, I cannot confirm the actual case law, byt remember that in a case of someone hospitalised, they could also choolse to be hospitalised at home. I may be wrong but that translate to the fact that you may not necessarily be cared in the hospital if the doctor allows you to be cared at home but termed it as hospitalised.
your veiw and background knowledge on this would be helpful
