I would like to ask the wages of my staff in July shall divide by 26 days or 31 days if his last working day is 11 July 2010.
Rest day is sunday. Basic salary = RM700

example,
1) RM700 / 31 x 11 days (included 4th & 11th Sunday)
or
2) RM700 / 26 x 11 days
3) RM700 / 26 x 9 days (excluded 4th & 11th July)

which is the correct one?

What is there to support? It is just simple calculation. (700/31) x 11 = 248.39, for the other 20 days of the month, you will get (700/31) x 20 = 451.61. The total comes to 700, no more and no less. If you use 3), he will get less. If you use 2), you are paying more and your boss may go after you. Better be exact.

Calculation for 5 working days & 5 1/2 working days is same? Using Calculation 1) ?
