Re: Probation Staff Resignation Notice

We have employed a staff we haven't issue any letter (either offer or employment letter). After work for 2 months, she tender her resignation letter with 7 day notice, but she start absent the next day she tender the letter. In our salary payment, should us deduct her 7 day in lieu of notice or what action should we take.

If she is covered by the Employment Act, you can go to the Labour Office and claim indemnity in lieu of notice from her.
