Dear Siew,

One of my employee has been jailed due to breaking a law (not involved drugs)..I was informed by his supervisor that he has been jailed up due to he was found guilty by the court. I have contact his lawyer and he confirm of the thing..How i want to terminate him since i can contact him and he has been jailed from 1 June 2010. Can i terminate him 24hours? What is the implications?Thank You

I think it would be better to wait for him to come out from jail before deciding what to do with him. The nature of the offence committed by him may or may not have anything to do with the nature of work in with the company. Consult your company legal advisor.
