I would like to employ sub-contractor to work with me. Their pay will be on daily basis. Commissions are base on sales. As it is quite risky job, do i need to contribute Socso? How about epf? Is it compulsory? What other benefit is compulsory? Do i need to give him any letter of agreement or contract? Please advise. Thank you very much.

You cannot simply say someone is a sub-contractor. They may be just daily rated workers. Since the work is risky, you better consult SOCSO, EPF and the Labour Department. Treat the matter seriously.
