Re: Annual leave

Can audit firm restrict employee to take Annual leave, by given reason, there is coming client on the way, and they need staff to rush out the audited report.

But at the end of the year & begin for a new fresh year, HR forfeit our last year AL, by giving us reason, because we didnt clear it on time. Although we explain to them, the mgr didnt approve & cancel our leave last minutes, although we already try to clear it.

Is it the company has a right to do so?

Thank you

It looks to me there was definitely some miscommunication along the line. When the leave is cancelled, it is advisable to let HR know immediately that the leave was cancelled so that the leave record would be properly updated. Quite often one department may not know what the other department is doing.

You should get your manager to talk to HR
