Re: Bonus Paid In Advance

I have just resigned from my company , and with a salary above RM1500.

In May an advance cash bonus was awarded by the company to all employees as a token of appreciation for the performance year to date.

With my recent resignation, I was told that the bonus paid in May will be deducted out of my final pay.

Does the company have legal standing to do such a matter ?

Please advice .

If that is the policy, the company may be legal for the company to do that. You may consult the Labour Office see what they say.
