Re: Malaysian Labour Law

I need to do research for the foreign company about malaysian labour law. Especially for EPF, SOCSO & Income tax deductions.

The company want to know if there is any clause stated ( as black & white) for their reference/guide that it is compulsory for the company to make deductions for the above (EPF, SOCSO & INCOME TAX) on behalf or for the staff.

Can we use the guidebook, or should we ask from the labor office?

the situation now

Can they pay EPF & SOCSO company portion and staff portion seperately, meaning the staff have to pay their percentage by them self to EPF....?????

I need reply asap.

The so-called guide books you should refer to are the Employees Provident Fund Act, Employees Social Security (SOCSO) Act. Employment Act or you can visit those departments to get more details.
