Re: Short Notice Resignation

Hi Sir/Madam,

I had tender my resignation on 2nd June and i'm shall serve 3 months notice, which my last day will be 1st Sept. However, i got an offer from a company wanted to buy me over where they willing to pay for me from 26th Jul - 1st Sept.
As usual, superior will accept & early release the staff.
Is my superior have the right to reject for my early release?
I'm in a dilemma where superior want me to serve full 3 months notice & reject my reimbursement.

If you really cannot wait, give them a cheque for the short notice and leave for the new job.

To me, since you are going to work up to 25 July, there is ample of time for you to complete what you have to complete. Assure your superior about that. If he still insists, you just go on 26 July whether he accept your money or not. That's how I look at it.
