Re: Restructuring salary
the management is thinking of restructuring the salary by adding in allowance for staff. However, the management take the add in of the allowance as an attraction for the staff to join the company. in order to maintain the cost and reduce the high cost of restructuring, the management decide to reduce the basic salary and increase in the allowance. My question:
1) Employer can or cannot reduce the current staff basic salary to accomodate the increase of the new allowance? Any legal liabilities that will be incur if the employee do this way?
