Re: Employment under PRC

Hi Mr Siew,

I've been offered a job by a company in China which needs me to be based in Malaysia. Therefore in such case, they'll be offering me an offer letter from China and a deputation letter to Malaysia. The salary deductions and contributions, benefits and entitlements are to be stated in the deputation letter and not to be shown unless if I sign the offer letter. Is such offer actually legal? If yes, which labour law is applicable?

Without knowing the details, I really don't feel comfortable about that. You better be careful about that appointment. What are you going to do if you don't get your salary, are you going to China to look for them? Our Labour Office definitely has no jurisdiction.
