Dear all,

today, when i go back to office and put the projector into equipment room and i forget to shut the door and after i came back from lunch, i found out that the projector had gone. and now company wan me to bear for the lost and the reason is i should take care of all equipment in the equipment room, now projector is lost and i have to pay for it. should i pay for it ?

Aren't office equipment insured? If not, better do something about it. About the paying part, you better discuss with the management. Should you pay the full amount or the present market value after depreciation and so on? Get some ideas from the Labour Department or the Industrial Relations Department if necessary.

I'm a promoter in a retail shop. My company wants me to pay the items that is lost in the shop. My appointment letter did state that in the event, items are lost, it will be deducted from my salary. My current salary is less than RM1500. Can i make a complain to Labour Office?
