Re: Reduction Working Days and Pay Cut

We are working under different subsidaries but under one holding company ( Berhad). For the past few mths the co hv pay us late salary. The worst case on Apr's salary only obtain in end of May. Yesterday we receive letter frm co refer to those pay RM2500 and above to work 3days and pay cut 40% for 6mths. Can the company do that ? and we also know actually few above RM2500 didn't get the letter. The MD say if anyone not happy n disagree can resign them. Most of us have work for the co for many years , range from 6yrs - 16yrs. Can we ask for VSS ? Who can help us to ask for our right, some hv draw salry above RM5K, can labour dept help ? Thank you and appreciate for your advise.

All of you should approach the Labour Department or the Industrial Relations Department. Those are places where you may get help.

due to I miss to attend company trip they deduct 90% of my salary, can company do that? Following they want me tender my resignation letter to them.
Please advise..

Pradeeban, what you can do is to make a complaint at the Labour Department.

Dear Siew,
we went to Labour Dept. sad to say that the dept unable to help us. Because our pay alrd above RM5K, they unable to made claim for us if we don't get our salary or any compensation claim if the co sack us. The Industrial Relations Dept can't made any claim for us also . If we are sack by co , they will help us to ask for reinstallation , they also can't claim any compensation for us. We have to go to civil court. Anyway thanks for the advise.
