Most of our staff earned RM1500 and above. If company compensate RM8 per hr instead of 1.5 times. does it against the law?

If the staff agrees to accept that amount, there may not be problems.

I understand that staff who earn > RM1.5k is not cover under the EA but if they are involve in manual work, even with salary > RM1.5, they are still cover under EA. Is this meant that they should pay OT as according to the rate fixed by EA which is 1.5x or just any rate that mutually agree by both the employee and employer? please advise.
