Re: OT Allowance

Hi, my company had set their rule that any staff salary above RM3000 should not entitiled to Overtime claim. Whether this is valid or not in Labour law?

They can set the rule but will the staff agree to work overtime without any reward then?

Sorry to tell you that my company's manager really doesn't get any OT after working hour even on holidays.

I think this is a normal work culture. Most senior people don't have fixed hours of work. Some of them don't even have a chance to see their children because when they leave for work early in the morning, the children would still be sleeping and when they come home at night, the children have already gone to bed. This is modern working life I suppose.

normally those in the exec grade and above are not entitled but they are given disturbances allowance.
