Re: Hospitalisation 60days or 46days?

I'm a contract staff (working from 2008 until now), so far our leave system shows we suppose get 60days for hospitalisation and 14days for MC, but suddenly, the HR people said this year hospitalisation is 46 days and sick leave is 14 days. Please advice..

Your HR is not wrong there. Normal sick leave + hospitalisation should not be more than 60 days. A proviso in Section 60F of the Employment Act says:

"Provided that the total number of days of paid sick leave in a calendar year which an employee is entitled to under this section shall be sixty days in the aggregate."

So, we are not getting 60days for hospitalization?
Let's say..
Someone admitted in hospital for 60days - advice by doctor..
Does we still have 14days MC? thx

No. If so, the total will come to 74 days or 78 or 82 days.
