Re: resignation

my question is, i has worked in a company around 4 days.before that i has sign on my offer letter which is stated that i have to work 14 days eigther should pay 14 days salary if i quit this job. unfortunately i have other offer from other company and i has given my 24 hours resignation letter to my hr department. but they say i should give the 14 days salary to them.if not they will sue me. how possible is this?should i pay the money or the 24 hours resignation letter is enough?

I am having a problem with my resignation. Currently im ASSISTANT MANAGER cum DIRECTOR for the company and worked for 6 years. I had already tendered my resignation on 13th May 2010 with 1 month notice. After a few days, my management told me that my 'level' (consider management staff) need 2 months notice.

Please advice.Thanks in advance!
