Re: Termination Due to Misconduct

My Company terminated an employee after due inquiry.
Under his contract he is suppose to serve 1 week notice period should he want to terminate his contract.
My question is are we entitled to deduct his 1-week salary (in-lieu of notice) if he was terminated for a misconduct?

If he was terminated by the company for misconduct, why should he have to serve one week notice?
