Re: Last pay calculation (Resignation)
Hi, I tendered resignation and my last day of employment is 9 October 2012 (after 1 week notice). On 8 October (Monday morning), I inform my employer that I've decided to leave the company immediately due to personal reason and I am willing to pay the company for the 2 days short notice (ie.8-9 Oct). I was told by HR that my salary will be issued up to 5 Oct (Friday). Is this correct or they should pay me up to 7 Oct (whole week) because I have worked from 1 Oct to 5 Oct, furthermore weekend is my rest day? Is there any Act that I may refer in order to support the calculation? Appreciate your immediate advice.
