However, if you still want to use the Act as a guide to calculate payments, your first calculation should be correct. Edit | Delete

 Edward Chan 09/08/2012 14:44:17 In reference to this and if the employee is covered under EA, do we need to pay the employee 2 months salary in lieu of the notice ON TOP of the termination/layoff benefit amount for example:- a)RM2K X 12/365=RM98.63 per day X 20 days = RM1315.10 X 6 =RM 7890.00or b)RM2K X 12/365=RM98.63 per day X 20 days = RM1315.10 X 6 =RM 7890.00 + RM2k x 2 months= RM11890.00Should we follow A or the correct method to follow is B?  Meggic Meggicxyz@hotmail.com 18/02/2013 12:35:51 Hi Mr Siew,I'd issued the letter of termination to all the employees on 21th Jan 2013 and last working day for all employees are on 18th Feb 2013. But when I was issuing the termination letter, one of the employee did not want to acknowledge and receive this termination letter. So, do i just issue the salary payment including termination benefit to her without her acceptance and signature on the termination letter? 18th Feb is my last business day. Edit | Delete
