Re: Annual Leave - Pay Off

I have been with the company since 2000. I seldom take leave. Hence, my annual leaves have been carried forward every year. The company now decided to pay me off the accumulated unused annual leave.

Question: Is the rate used for the annual leave compensation based on my previous pay or current pay?

Since the company allowed you to carry forward leave year after year, I think it is fair to pay according to the salary of the year the leave was carried forward. Actually, under the Employment Act, leave not taken after 12 months are supposed to be forfeited.
