Re: Extreme Working Hours

I don't have a written contract between my employer but typical hours of work is 9am-6pm. Over the last few months there has been a rush of work and we are understaffed, so my employer has been asking me to stay back late to complete work. One week I clocked about 80 hours! My employer has not been giving me overtime for this. Is this legal?

Submit an overtime claim to the company. If they don't entertain your claim, complain to the Labour Department.
