Re: basic salary & fixed public holiday

Hi,

May i know what is the current basic salary shall be given by the employer?

The minimum public holiday that a company shall give to their employees.

does the employer has the right to fire the employees if the employees never obey to the employer advise or the employees never reach the target set by the employer?

Thank you.

1) There is no law for basic salary for employees.
2) Public holidays = 11 days now with the inclusion of Malaysia Day.
3) There is nothing to say the employer cannot do that.

Compulsory public holiday should be 10 or 11 days now to includes the Malaysia Day?

I need a copy of the amended Employment Act that shows that new rule in regards to Malaysia Day. Anywhere I can download it?

Morning All,

@KL Siew, is this compulsorily 11 public days also the minimum number of public days that employer needs to follow? The company claims the minimum public holidays is only 4 days. Out of all the public holidays, they chose 10 days which inclusive of the mentioned minimum 4days. Need your advice here.

@ellyse, you could download the updated copy from :
