Re: Time slip

Hi KL Siew,

Found this website quite informative. I would like to know whether there is any limit for employee taking time out/slip to attend matters such as banking, unofficial appointment or personal. I knew that many companies practices max 2 hours/day but is this time slip thing stated in the labour law? And are they any limit for time out slip or it is at the discretion of the company to either set the max hours per year or they never set at all.

Thank you very much..

The Employment Act has no provision for time slip. It is entirely dependent on the individual policy of the companies.

Dear Sir

There are cases in my company whereby staffs take frequently time off for attending medical checkup up from clinic. What is time frame allowed and can the company deduct their annual leave.
