Try reading the Employment Act again, see how many types of you can find there, surely not as many as you mentioned.

nini,
medical leave is under EA. medical leave to be entitled with medical certificate as a prove. Some company just accept panel & government, some company accept all clinic & hospital.

annual leave is under EA. some company allow employee to entitled upon employment, some have to after 12 mths continuous service. EA mentioned < 2yrs = 8days, >2<5yrs = 12days, >5yrs = 16days.

Unpaid leave can be apply when you are no have medical leave or annual leave. It need to be early apply to avoid become absent. There is no limit but will affect employee's performance.

compassioanate leave is a kind of leave that company give to. Not under EA.

Married leave not under EA. Will give to employee upon they show their marry certificate. Traditional one we are not accept.

Hospitalisation is under EA. 60days per year. the employee have to show to you the admit and discharge note to entitled for the hospitalisaiton. If the employee already discharge, it can't treat as hospitalisation. Be aware.

Funeral leave not under EA. my company give to when close relative death

nini, in my company, emergency leave defined as leave without follow leave application procedure. it can't be calculate as leave... you may apply but later on should cover by annual leave or unpaid or medical leave or else it will become absent... emergency leave is just a reason to apply without waiting for the approval, but it is dangerous lah, employee need to call to office to inform otherwise, the superior reserve the right to not approve then will caused absent...

Example : I come to work, suddently my family call me got urgent matter, and I on leave, it called emergency leave, or when I wake up I feeling unwell, and call to office to apply emergency leave, maybe later on I go to the doctor, if got MC, claimed as medical leave, if not, I need to apply annual leave or unpaid leave.

actually.... leave..... just got 2 types, one is no effect salary, one will deduct salary. it is depend on your company how to classified it... many leave can company give... in Japan, female period also can got period leave.... so EA just concerned annual leave, medical leave, hospitalisation, maternity leave and absent, other than this, the rest is all depend on company, if company no want to give, employee can't do anything, but some company will give as it would benefits to employee and can attract ppl to work with mah....
