Re: Gazetted PH and compulsory leave

Sir,

Understand that labour law stated every employee is entitled for 10 gazetted PH only.

Let say this coming Prophet Muhammad's Birthday and Thaipusam, my company has informed us that all staff to be on compulsory leave on 6/2/12 till 7/2/12 and is going to deduct our salary.

Can a Company force employee to on compulsory leave under labour law like this situation?

Please advise.

I think you can bring the matter up with the local Labour Department and let them look into it.
