Hi Mr. Siew,

One of my staff is currently undergoing physiotherapy treatment for her leg at local government hospital. She applies leave as usual and brings back mc when she returns to off next day. This has been going on a few times and company have been accepting on humanitarian basis. However as we don't want staff to misuse or set a precedence for others to follow suit, I wld like to know whether as a company are we obliged by law to accept that mc. Staff is earning above 2k. Pls advise

When there is a valid mc then you have to accept it. Her idea of applying leave first might be to cover her absence in case mc was not issued.
