Re: Benefits entitlement while serving notice of resignation

My staff (salary above 4k) has just tendered her resignation on 30/12/11. Her last working day should be 29 Jan 2012. Today she inform that her last day will be today as she'll hv to be admitted to hospital for an operation tmr. She would like to claim from the company's group hospitalisation insurance as well.

My Q: Is she still entitled to sick leave/ hospitalisation leave and other benefits while serving notice of resignation up to the last day? Or should the cut off be the date of the resignation letter?

Could there be some misunderstanding of about what she said "..her last day will be today."? You better have it properly clarified. I cannot make any comment.
