Re: Can a company force staff to work during weekend and public holiday?
I'm a comision earner in a subsidiary company of bank. Offer letter is written that working hours is from 9am till 6pm monday till friday.But what I've experienced is we are
(1) compulsory to work during Saturday and even public holiday such as depavali ,Malaysia day and others WITHOUT paying any OT.
(1.1) it's compulsory to submit medical certificate IF absent to work on Saturday if we were sick.
(2) weekday compulsory OT until 8pm reason is sales is not meet the daily target yet.
(3) deduction of annual leave whenever late to work even is 10mins- ( it's not written in offer letter)
