Re: Medical leave

I am a hypertention patient (high blood pressure) which need to constantly medical checkup. - around once in every 2 months or 4 months.

I am currently have my checkup at General Hospital (Government Hospital), thus it happen always at working days and everytime doctor issued a valid medical leave to me.

However, my employer says: Checkup/doctor visitation is not sick. He cannot use MC for this. MC, by nature, is given only when someone is sick and cannot perform the day-to-day activity.
Therefore I need to take my leave for attending the follow up.

Is that sound correct?

Even the MC is given by government doctor (which I got no chance to buy/fake that)?
Is there any ground that I can fight that I suppose entitled MC (with doctor issued MC) rather to take my own leave for that?

Thanks if you can advise.

If it is a medical certificate stating you are unfit for working, the MC is valid.
