Re: Overtime on Saturday

I have to work on Saturday to settle work. In my Company policy, If staff work on Saturday, the Company only give replacement leave. If we work 4 hours and below, we will get half day replacement leave, If we work more than 4 hours, we will get 1 day replacement leave. Is it acceptable or the Company have to pay overtime to us? Please advise. Thank you.

To me, the practice is alright for working on Saturdays. It may be not alright if required to work on Sundays.

This sounded extremely OK to me... cause the company that I am attaching with don't pay us anything; not OT nor replacement leave; on Saturday, Sundays and Public Holidays that we are required to work. As I am working in a retail company, it is the company's practice to ask all marketing staffs to work on retail peak periods, eg. a month before Hari Raya, Christmas and CNY!!! Can someone please give us advice if this is acceptable...
