Re: staff loan

one staff giving a retrenchment letter,by giving 1 month notice. But this staff earlier taking staff loan. Company deduct her outstanding loan from 1 month notice, end up she only paid RM28 at the end of the month.

Can company do that, deducting all the outstanding sum?

Well, you have to do that, otherwise the company may have difficulty getting the money back.

Is the deduction legal? Does Company / Employer permitted to do deduction from employees salary other than EPF & PCB?
